Racing at Miramar

Come as a captain or to be a crew member

Racing is a great way to learn to sail, and to challenge the skills of an experienced sailor. You don't need to race to enjoy your membership, but the racers agree: some of the best times to be had at Miramar are in the bonding between sailors afterward as we rehash it all over the grill.

Also, if you don't have a boat, there is usually somebody looking for an extra hand.

Regattas

Each season, Miramar features three regattas. Each features two separate days of racing: one for Ensigns and one for Division 1 boats.

Weekly Summer Series

During the summer, our Ensigns race every Wednesday night after work. Join us as a captain if you have an Ensign, or join us as a crew if you just want to participate to learn and (maybe) win. Trophies are distributed at our end-of-season Commodore's Ball.

Fall Series

Starting in late August, our Ensigns race every Saturday afternoon for five weeks. Again, join us as a captain or willing crew. Trophies are distributed at our end-of-season Commodore's Ball.
