Brooklyn Boatworks, Sept 28

As many of you know, we started a relationship with Brooklyn Boatworks two years ago to promote the joys and science of sailing with New York City students. Brooklyn Boatworks is currently in the process of revamping and expanding their mission and hoping that we will again show our generous Miramar spirit by hosting a one-day event for Boatworks alumni. These are New York City Public School students who have built their Optimus and are looking to continue their adventures on the water.
On Saturday, September 28th, we would like to host about 12 students and additional staff from Brooklyn Boatworks, but we need your help to do so! Specifically, we are putting out a call to Ensign owners and experienced sailors who are interested in co-captaining a boat. Our goal is to have two experienced sailors and no more than three students per boat. The final number of students will be dependent upon the availability of boats and sailors. Students will arrive at 10:30 am and we hope to set sail by around 11:30. We would like to spend approximately 1 1/2 hours on the water. Of course, all of this is dependent upon the weather.
